Persian carpets Tabriz Royal
A carpet of Tabriz is a type of Persian rug. Tabriz, northwest of Iran was a historic carpet production center and is a well-known area for its court carpets such as the Ardebil carpet. After the middle of the nineteenth century, Tabriz revived its carpet production and became a center of production for export to Europe and elsewhere. The carpet of Tabriz has a special importance. It was in the workshops of the city that the first carpets were made for export. After having sent old carpets abroad, the merchants began to produce them themselves in workshops, according to the measures and colors ordered by the European merchants. This may be one of the reasons why this carpet is not distinguished by a particular color.
