Rare Virgin of Niche in Burgundy Stone Regency Period Splendid Virgin carrying the Child Jesus, Sculpted in direct carving in Burgundy Stone, Regency Period, Very early eighteenth century, It has remains of Polychrome. The sculpture is in a rather remarkable state, the head of Jesus as well as a part of the Front of Mary was cut (the cut is voluntary and frank, and not accidental, and probably dates from the French Revolution of 1789), the Marie's face and profile, is an enchantment of sweetness and beauty, while having a very youthful appearance. Marie is pavement of Poulaines, and the drape of her dress, is well evocative of the statuary drapes of the 17th century.
