Descrizione Dettagliata
Magnificent sculpture named "the tiger with the bulldog" is a unique piece.
Mixed technique, particularity of its creator, mastering marvellously the recycling of all materials at hand, always in an ecological concern, making pass messages on what he lived or wanted to denounce in his time.
Period: 20th century
Dimensions : Height : 39cm x Width : 25cm x Depth : 16cm
24 carat gold leaf
This feline is not chosen by chance, the tiger is a strong symbol of vitality, unpredictability, strength but also of self-confidence.
It also strongly symbolises ambition and justice.
On his head, like a cap, the face of the man with eyes raised to the sky.
On his back, like a rucksack, the head of the bulldog.
The bulldog, with its massive, muscular, stocky body and powerful jaw, evokes strength. His strength, his tenacity, his will to fight stronger animals.
This sculpture certainly found its inspiration in England, or Aaron Hinojosa, the first country where he stayed after leaving Mexico.
Victorian caricaturists from the end of the 18th century also began to accompany the figure of Britannia with a lion and a bulldog.
A source of meditation and smiles, a delirious sculptor, these creations combine real technical virtuosity with an omnipresent dreamlike quality.
A committed artist, each sculpture, each painting, each drawing, each line is studied with aestheticism of play, magic and intelligence.
