Art Deco is a "neo-classical" style born in the 1910s, a return to rigour in opposition to the art of 1900.
It is a refined and luxurious style of an elite that will remain so with a flourishing in the 20s and 30s.
The Art Deco style has an original style with its geometrical forms and the symmetry of its ornaments.
This mirror is a very beautiful work of mirrorwork integrating with discretion and nobility a piece of ironwork in the purest tradition of the realizations of artists and craftsmen of reputation of this time, combining the refinement in the tradition of the old styles and the functionality of the emerging modernity with a great quality of execution such as Edgar Brandt (1880-1960), Jules Leleu (1883-1961), André Groult (1884-1967), Paul Follot (1877-1941, Lalique.
