Harpist Chair Mahogany - Period: Restoration - 19th century

Magnificent and rare harpist's chair in mahogany and mahogany veneer. 
Its curved "cabriolet" backrest is carved with notches and reveals a luminous scalloped decoration.

The seat turns up and down around its original adjustment screw.
It is upholstered in a delightful velvet fabric of high quality from the house of "Lelièvre - Paris".

It rests on a six-sided shaft, wider at the bottom, ending with three solid mahogany feet, scratched and decorated with palmettes.
