Descrizione Dettagliata
Charming little table - pedestal table in mahogany with a square shape.
It rests on four legs called "à boudins", or two cane crotch shelves that give lightness and manoeuvrability to its main shelf, fitted with two side flaps.
It is topped with a grey Sainte-Anne marble.
Sainte-Anne grey marble, also known as "Gris des Ardennes", is quarried in Belgium. It was mainly used on Louis XVI and Louis Philippe furniture. It can be found in the Château de Compiègne, in the dining room of Napoleon I.
Period: 19th Century
Circa : 1835 - 1845
Dimensions : Height : 70cm x Width (shutters closed) : 48cm x Depth : 42cm
Width with flaps open : 102cm
The table-guéridon is a light flying table with a height of support, wider than the guéridon but narrower than the coffee table.
It rests on four legs on which rests a table top wide enough to write on.
There is some furniture that is indispensable for the organisation of a room and that you cannot do without. Even if they appear to be discreet.
Side furniture, such as our small pedestal table, is a clear example of this type of furniture.
They are ideal for optimising storage space or even for creating a perfectly tidy interior. They can easily be placed in any room in the house, whether large or small.
