Bronze sculpture, representing a magnificent oryx head, very beautiful cast from the beginning of the 20th century, with refined details and patina.
The oryx gazelle, sometimes mistaken for an antelope, lives in the desert dunes of Namibia. It is the symbol of the country.
It is able to go without water for long periods. Its urine is particularly concentrated and its excrement is very dry. It does not sweat and avoids panting, preferring to let its body temperature rise a few degrees when it is very hot.
And it hides from the sun as much as possible, grazing only at night.
