Descrizione Dettagliata
Lovely tea service in black enamelled earthenware from the Sarreguemines faience factory.
This set is decorated with arabesques, scrolls and flowers in gold, blue, yellow and orange.
At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, ceramics produced in England were very fashionable in France.
To respond to this craze, the Sarreguemines earthenware factory decided to meet this demand and certain creations were also covered with a black slip inspired by the "Victoria" tea and coffee services of the last quarter of the 19th century created especially for the Queen by the earthenware factory Gibson & Son. These later productions will bear the name "Rockingham." Our service is composed of 16 pieces broken down as follows:
Period: 19th century
Dimensions: 6 person teapot: Height: 15cm x Width: 17cm
Teapot for 4 persons: Height: 14cm x Width: 16cm
Sugar bowl : Height : 9cm x Width : 11cm
Milk jug or creamer : Height : 8cm x Width : 9,5cm
6 cups : Height : 5,5cm - diameter : 8cm
6 saucers: Diameter: 14,5cm
