Descrizione Dettagliata
Magnificent games table in walnut veneer mounted on oak, with double tops, revealing a magnificent double top in Cedar burl, set with a lovely and sober net in marquetry of lemon tree and sycormore wood.
The top slides forward and unfolds to double its surface and offers a substantial play space covered with an ivory-coloured fabric.
It rests on a column foot, with a decorative niche, all on a square base.
Closed, it is a lovely console along a wall and can very easily be used as a side table (side table) for small spaces.
Period: Art Deco
Circa: 1925 - 1930
Dimensions: Height: 73cm x Width: 85 x Depth: 55cm
Open top dimensions: 110 x 110cm
Its clean lines and the chosen woods are undoubtedly the work of decorators in vogue at that time, such as André Domin and Marcel Genevriere from Dominique or a special order designed by Jacques Émile Rulhmann.
These furniture manufacturers were above all visionaries, they sought refinement, excellent in perfect finishing techniques.
They were not only looking for functionality, like many at that time, but also looking for the creation of style.
They perfected their techniques and intended their furniture for wealthy industrialists, politicians and high society figures.
