Descrizione Dettagliata
Small coffee table in solid walnut.
It rests on four turned and carved legs connected by an X-shaped spacer also carved with acanthus leaves and winged putti.
This very beautiful piece of furniture, a unique part of a complete living room, was made in Italy, in the region of Piedmont, whose many places still offer a testimony of the past. History has left its mark on this rich region where traces of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Counter-Reformation can be found in every place.
Period: Second half of the 19th century
Style : Neo-Renaissance
Dimensions : Height : 78cm x Width : 86cm x Depth : 66cm
Richly hand-carved with winged putti, scattered with luxuriant vegetation, this wood, which was intended to be dark in its time to favour the development of the Neo-Renaissance style, offers us today all the light and the exposure in all simplicity, in the smallest intersites, thanks to the air-gumming we wanted for our restoration, thus unfolding before our eyes the architectural richness of the piece of furniture, iconographic richness of the Mannerist furniture which was perfectly suited to the taste of the Second Empire.
This piece is sold alone, but can also be part of a set of several pieces, which are currently visible in our gallery. A preferential price will be communicated after study.
